Keetch To Seek Meeting With Ministers As Rank Zerox Closes In Forest Of Dean

Hereford's Liberal Democrat MP Paul Keetch says he will seek an urgent meeting with Ministers as Rank Zerox announced this afternoon they would close their Micheldean plant.

Many of the 1,000 or so redundancies live in South Herefordshire."I am deeply saddened by the news this afternoon", said Mr Keetch."Many of the people who will loose their jobs live in and around Ross on Wye. We must seek Government help to find them new jobs as soon as "

"possible."

"I will be contacting the Government to seek an urgent meeting with Ministers. I am sure that all local MP's and MEP's as well as local councils will also play their part.

"This is sad news indeed for the South Herefordshire economy".
