Hereford Lib Dem MP Paul Keetch is supporting moves by young people in Hereford to open an indoor skate board park. The move, being led by local man Heath Crosby has the support of Stuart Skyrme of "Flipped", a leisure equipment shop in Hereford.

"Skate boarding is very popular amongst many young people and I am delighted to be able to support this move" said Mr Keetch.

"I get many complaints from people about skate boarders using public places like Hereford's Bus Station and it seems to me that an indoor park is the best solution. Not only would this provide somewhere to skate but would be a useful additional community facility.

"All too often youths are accused of causing problems on the streets but if they want to follow a particular pastime they need the facilities to do this.

"I know that others have attempted to find premises but have not perhaps had the determination that Heath certainly has to succeed. I hope that he can find suitable premises soon and the appropriate financial backing to see this venture come about.

"Heath and Stuart certainly have my backing and I am sure the my Lib Dem colleagues on the Council who have also backed previous attempts will be supporting them in their endeavours."
