KEETCH IN SEARCH FOR THE BEST ASIAN CUISINE IN THE CONSTITUENCY

3.36.54pm GMT Thu 11th Aug 2005

Paul Keetch, Member of Parliament for Hereford, has been asked to nominate his favourite South Asian restaurant in his constituency and is inviting his constituents to give their suggestions.

The competition has been launched by the House of Commons Tiffin Club to find the best South Asian restaurant in the country, and MPs all over the country have been inviting their constituents to choose the best restaurant in their area to put forward to the national 'cook-in' final in London.

This year's event is being held in order to support the efforts of the Roko Cancer Appeal which is looking to create the first ever mobile cancer unit in India.

Commenting Mr Keetch said:

"This is an excellent idea - there are many fine Asian restaurants locally that need praise and recognition. To be able to compete in the prestigious Tiffin Cup could be the fulfilment of a life time's dream for some Asian restaurateurs.

"I will definitely be putting forward a nomination," the MP said.

Constituents can write in with their suggestions to Paul Keetch MP, House of Commons, London, SW1A 0AA or alternatively email info@paulkeetch.org.uk
