KEETCH IN TALKS WITH AMBULANCE TRUST OVER CLOSURES

12.16.29pm GMT Wed 19th Oct 2005

Paul Keetch, Member of Parliament for Hereford is today meeting with the Chief Executive of Hereford and Worcester ambulance trust to discuss the closure of four ambulance stations across the county.

Commenting Mr Keetch said,

"This is disastrous news for the county, with already stretched NHS services in rural Herefordshire, I am amazed that the ambulance service is cutting back on vital services to the rural communities.

"I shall be discussing alternative solutions with the chief executive to avoid compromising residents with this cost cutting exercise."
