Following the collapse of Paul Keetch, MP for Hereford, on a flight to the United States on 8 July, the MP's office is pleased to advise that Paul has made considerable progress over the weekend after an anxious time last week. Doctors at the London Chest Hospital are pleased with Paul's progress and this week will continue investigatory tests in order to fully determine a treatment and recovery plan.

The MP was taken off Intensive Care at the end of last week and has since been moved on to a low dependency ward.

Paul's PA Helen Jones said, "I was able to speak to Paul today for the first time since he fell ill. He is in good spirits and has retained his sense of humour which is marvellous. When I told him about the hundreds of messages, phone calls and general concern being expressed for his well-being he was truly touched and wants to thank everyone for their kindness."
